Our Youth Section is supported by a dedicated Committee made up of volunteers, ensuring every aspect of your child’s hockey experience is safe, enjoyable and well-organised. Here’s a brief introduction to each key role:

• Youth Section Chair – Mark Plowright: Oversees the entire programme, coordinates with coaches and parents and provides overall direction for the section’s development. Sits on club Management Committee and Playing Committee.
• Welfare Officer – Michelle Cooke: Acts as the primary contact for safeguarding and child welfare matters, ensuring our club is a safe and welcoming space for all juniors.
• Youth Section Secretary – Kate Pike: Keeps everyone informed about training, matches and club news through regular updates via email, Pitchero message and WhatsApp Community.
• Youth Section Fixtures Secretary – Phil Carter: Organises fixtures for friendlies and league matches, liaises with other clubs and communicates schedules promptly to Secretary for communication with parents and coaches.
• Youth Development & Schools Liaison Officer – Jo Gillett: Promotes youngsters’ growth through Young Leaders Programme, Hockey Leadership, Young Umpires and supporting DofE with volunteering opportunities. Manages relationships with school and youth organisations.
• Youth Section Social Secretary – Claire Usher: Organises and promotes socials events to youth section age groups and their families – appreciates the support of parent volunteers!
