Ralph the stone mason smashes the Folkes

Glorious sunny seaside day, a team that to a man was willing to die for each other, some even offering to help their mates with this desire, a good number of excellent goals, 3 point beamers back up the motorway, does it get any better than this? Quick stop off at Herne Bay on the way back says yes, it does!
Thank you to the huge number of people who answered my request for a new picture of the Folkestone scoreboard. Huge if you typed the zero in 48 point. In the end, Mr Reliable Peter Billane obliged, so the rest of you won’t get a mention. Again.
Someone once said to me, anyone that scores a hat trick must be PoM and only an idiot would try and give it to somone else. Notice I didn’t say a wise man, as it was Nick Cawsey that said it and also notice I spelled “someone” incorrectly, because clearly I’m an idiot.
Connor was immense today, no doubt, one goal of finesse, one goal of skill and one goal of pure, undiluted unadulterated vicious power, he did literally scare the daylights out of Folkestone. But to me, and I am the idiot typing this, the back five of Hammond, Wells, Steel, Hendry and Coles, more than ably assisted by Cluett, we’re just amazing today. The tackles they made, the interceptions, the communication, the work rate, everything was incredible.
Billane and Rudduck both scored their statutory goal a game, but the team were so focused and professional, this was a great result that a great team effort deserved.
