Fours from fives Folkestone fun in four four friller

In this league, on their day, any team can beat or lose to any other team. That’s probably true of most leagues, unless you worship at the altar of BDTBL, in which case, every team in the league will beat you.
Such was the despondency, of personal performance and end result, I found myself suffering from the huge misnomer of writers block. Surely a good few decades ago this should have been renamed typers block. But then I am a pedant. And paranoid. Wait, who’s calling me that?
Anyway, back to the story, feeling as dry as a rattlesnake in a wagon rut, I thought I would try AI. I entered into ChatGPT ( other AI’s are available) “The fours didn’t win”, instant reply, “No matches for your search, please try asking something more believable.”
So, good old fashioned quill and ink it is then.
Positives, Parker cooly converted two flicks, Usher scored from his favourite area, an angle so acute that even protractors cringe and Billane scored with another deft touch and now has the Delta Chi name of Kitty Soft Paws.
We had to re-jig very early in the game as Steel suffered an injury, and it took the team some time to adjust, for some I think it could be a few weeks.
The team battled, really got down in the trenches and fought, giving everything up until the very last second, but a skilled Folkestone side proved to be as stubborn as those red wine stains that apparently come out in one warm wash.
Lessons were leant, collective pride was dented, perches were unceremoniously removed, but the team spirit, joie de vivre and desire were always there.
Another week, another result.
