Who says you need to see a game to write a report. Well, sensible people probably.

Sitting comfortably? Then I’ll begin.
Flowing on from last weeks “21st century hockey”, on a day when the fivesweresix’s had finished their game by noon, this game started at 4pm. On the dot. Not 3:59, early was not on the cards, and not after 4 either as luckily the game on before ours finished on time. Three hours before our start, but on time none the less.
This has been dubbed the hardest game of the season so far, clearly no one who played today has tried One Fat Hen on Easter Sunday at Clacton.
To a player, everyone did their job and helped their team mates with their jobs too, Communism in motion.
The goal came when Kavanagh Coxall fired the ball to WOTHERDS, who displayed a touch so deft that the entire sub continent population of silk worms were heard to gasp, assuming they have vocal chords, and we have sub sonic audible abilities, laying the ball into the path (going for my longest ever sentence) of the on steaming Usher who slammed the ball home with aplomb, or aprunum if you speak Latin.
Step up PoM Rudduck the elder, who knows how to defend a lead like a leady defending thing. Buoyed by the completely neutral but highly vociferous support, Steve nudged, nurdled, probed, dawdled and destroyed any hope the home team had of getting back into the game.
Another great performance of a match report, a good result and a great team effort in fading light.
We go into the international break where we have been all season, no I don’t mean Bexley, although that is obviously also true.
Thanks to Skippy Ned for organising the team once again.

On a serious note, I just wanted to mark the very sad passing of Gary Baldock. Gary was a true Burnt Ash legend, his bubbly, friendly, larger than life personality has been a huge factor for the club, not only with its reputation for being a fun club, but also the way he helped so many people to settle in and enjoy their time there. He will be sorely missed and our thoughts and best wishes are with his family and friends at this time.
