The 3s had a late game away to Tunbridge Wells Vets on a wet and drizzly Saturday. This was an important game with both teams looking to climb into 2nd place with a win.
The game started quickly with both teams going on the attack, looking to score an early goals. Chances came and went, but neither team could find the magic touch. Burnt Ash were controlling the game for the most part, but did get caught on the counter a few times towards.
The second half continued in a fiery fashion before Tunbridge scored an early goal to go 1-0 up.
Burnt Ash responded in great fashion and scored an equaliser 5 mins later with Mike tucking a reverse hit into the bottom left hand corner beyond the keeper. Burnt Ash ramped up the pressure and really took the game to the home team in a flurry of green and yellow cards for both sides.
Burnt Ash's superiority was capitalised on by old faithful, Stratts, who scored from a drag flick which wrong footed the keeper to make it 2-1. Isaac soon scored to make it 3-1 after some great one touch play from the away team down the left hand side.
A P-flick was awarded to the away side fairly late on with Stratts getting his second of the game to make it 4-1.
The wheels were now coming off the Vets wagon who soon saw their keeper and a defender given their marching orders in the last 5 minutes, but the game was settled long before this point and Burnt Ash cruised till the final whistle.
A clinical second half wrapped up the points for the away side who can go home impressed with the performance and the 3 points.
