The last game of the season for the 7ths at Hurstmere against third placed team, Herne Bay.

The start was not very helpful when Herne Bay went ahead after 29 seconds! By the 11th minute Herne Bay were 3-0 up and attacking hard. For the next passage of play Burnt Ash were a little bit more organised but Herne Bay's persistence resulted in three more goals in the last six minutes of the half to give the visitors a 6-0 lead at the break.

The second half was very different and Burnt Ash played much better and were unlucky not to score some goals but the Herne Bay keeper made several great saves; with the second half ending as a 0-0 draw.

Many thanks to all the players who played for the team this season and to all those who helped out by umpiring for us. All the team would particularly like to offer their thanks to the 7ths skipper for several seasons , Peter Carrick, who is stepping down as captain.

Many thanks to Paul Atkin and Kathy Carrick for umpiring for us today.

Men's 7ths: Colin Belcher, Rob Brine, Graham Long, Peter Carrick, Ben Sharma, Rikki Sharma, Michael Carrick, Eddie Cheesebrough, Matt Cheesebrough, Mark Cook, Damion Treece, Noah Herridge, Graham Elliott, Alan Phillips.
