The Men's 7ths made the journey down the M20 (with restrictions due to Operation Brock with loads of lorries stacked up) for their penultimate game of the season on a glorious sunny day. We were delighted to welcome back Gordon Millar into the side.

Although Burnt Ash were missing several regular players, right from the off, Burnt Ash were very positive and kept the ball in the Ashford half most of the time in the opening part of the game with Josh Feldman going close on 12 minutes with a great reverse shot which went just wide of the post. On 15 minutes, Burnt Ash were awarded a short corner which Graham Elliott stopped and then pushed the ball onto Will Terry who firmly hit the ball into the back of the goal to put Burnt Ash into the lead. Three minutes later, Burnt Ash had a great break out of defence and Josh Feldman hit a super reverse shot into the goal just as he entered the D: 2-0 to Burnt Ash.
Ashford came back a little but Burnt Ash defended resolutely and the midfield had a lot of control of the pitch. A minute before half time there was a melee in the Ashford D and several chances with Mano Cadermanpulle eventually following up to give Burnt Ash a 3-0 lead at the interval.

The second half started much the same as the first and Josh Feldman soon added a fourth goal with an outstanding flick into the net. Ashford again came back and had some movement into the Burnt Ash half but again the defence and midfield held them at bay. On 61 minutes, Damion Treece forced his way into the Ashford area and had a great shot from the top of the circle to give Burnt Ash a resounding 5-0 scoreline.
Ashford had a consolation goal a couple of minutes later but Burnt Ash were not done yet and continued to push forward and on 65 minutes Josh Feldman nearly got a hat trick but the keeper made a save which was then pounced on by Graham Elliott who pushed the ball over the line from about one inch!

A superb team performance and a fully deserved 6-1 victory for Burnt Ash 7ths.
