Here's what you told us.

A summary of the responses to our Summer Questionnaire records as follows.

Competitons:

Majority of respondents wanted a repeat of the Burnt Ash Mixed Summer League. We'll organise the normal entry system ready for next week with a view to starting in mid-May as normal.

Most of the female responders wanted us to take over the running of the Gravesend Ladies Summer League, as they are running a mixed competition this season. We're trying to sort out what we can do to organise this.

There was some interest in a Men's Summer League, but not sufficient to make this worthwhile organising. However, we are waiting for England Hockey to send out information about a National Competition and may enter this.

Days you wanted to play:

Two-thirds of you preferred to play on a Tuesday or Wednesday night. Thursday night was third most popular (52%), followed by Monday night (48%). Given this, we'll try and organise matches that play on these four nights. Weekends were less popular and don't seem sufficient to be able to sustain fixtures.

Can you help?

A few of you came forward to captain a team in the mixed competition, and a couple to help with the organising. This might make it difficult, but we'll see what we can arrange.

AOB

  • Several comments that summer hockey is essential to maintain fitness for next season.
  • You said mixed hockey is a great way to mingle with other members you wouldn't normally get to train/play with
  • A couple of you said that they would only play one competition, although indicated interest in two.

We'll take the comments on board and make a start on the mixed league in the first week of April.
