Chas joined the Club straight from school in 1962 and went on to give a lifetime of service. He captained and helped organise what was probably the first league hockey played at the Crystal Palace National Recreation Centre.

Over the years, Chas served as Club Secretary and, more recently, as a Trustee. Above all, he was a great friend to Burnt Ash. Chas will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
