Our Mens O35s team headed to Lee Valley to compete in the final of the England Hockey Masters Mens O45s Vase Championship against University of Sheffield Bankers.
Despite trailing 1–0 at half-time, the second half brought a dramatic turnaround. Dom Tyler fired home to level the score, but Sheffield responded just five minutes later to regain the lead. Undeterred, Alan Slater struck with a well taken penalty flick to make it 2–2. With the clock ticking down to the final seconds, Alan Peel produced a moment of brilliance, slotting away the winner with the end of game whistle blowing straight after the goal was awarded.
We extend our sincere congratulations to all participants for their exceptional performance. The support from approximately 50 attendees, comprising family, friends and members of the Burnt Ash hockey community, was invaluable. The team deeply appreciated the encouragement provided from the sideline.
A thank you to Karen Sells-Brown for all the photos which can be viewed on the website.
