....The Winner announced by Mens' Club Captain at the Annual Dinner Dance was.....

There were a number of players who won the nomination from their peers. By a narrow margin the winning Player has held the team together by his tireless work at the centre of midfield. Running the opposition and sometimes himself around in circles. During the season he has scored his first goal for the club, learnt to use a can opener, make shepherds pie, manned single handed battery 2 and won Man of the match deservedly several times. Known to some of you as G Man, to others as Tin Man and his family as Graham. Well done Graham Holton, you have had an excellent season and been the heart beat of the team, been a great ambassador to the juniors on the pitch. Unfortunately injury brought a premature end to the season, and not surprisingly the promotion push faded away too. Not sure whether we will see you in the 5ths next season, I am sure the captains of the higher teams will be trying to secure you in their teams.

A big thank you to all in the 5ths many of you received nominations from your peers. Everyone showed commitment when they put on the 5ths shirt. Enjoy the summer break, those taking exams - good luck. I hope we see you all again soon, refreshed and looking to build on the foundation of the season just finished.
