Our Ladies 2s team headed to Lee Valley to compete in the final of the England Hockey Ladies Tier 3 Shield Championship against Cheam.
The team went 1-0 up but found themselves trailing 1-4 at the beginning of the fourth quarter. Despite this they demonstrated incredible heart to fight back to 3-4. Unfortunately they just couldn’t find that fourth goal before the final whistle which placed our team as runners up of the Shield.
We extend our congratulations to all participants for their exceptional performance. Once again the support from approximately 100 attendees, comprising family, friends and members of the Burnt Ash hockey community, was crucial. The team appreciate the encouragement from all on the sideline.
A thank you to Karen Sells-Brown for all the photos which can be viewed on the website.
